My passion to create wonderful images drives me.

My work includes high profile documentaries on sensitive subjects (including Paedophiles, The War in Afghanistan, The Holocaust and  Racism in the Police), high end corporates (clients include Cisco, EY, PwC, McClaren Racing & Novatis) as well as television idents.  More recently, I have begun to  work on narrative drama material.

The variety my work offers is one of my favourite aspects of my job. One day I can be trying to make three different interviews,  all shot in a single room, look distinct from each other; the next day I can be co-ordinating a large team to make a single shot work.

But what continues to draws me the most is composing and lighting great shots and making the most of the tools I have available - be that a couple of 800w Redheads or a full lighting truck with sparks and gaffers.  I enjoy spending time watching films and TV drama to work out how they achieved the look and looking at new developments in lighting equipment.

As someone who came from a TV background and who has a continued interest in developing technology,  I can offer a great deal of knowledge on how to get the best out of the new breed of electronic cameras such as the Alexa, F55 and RED. However,  I am just at home with film and love the look, discipline and attention working with it demands.

Directors have told me that one reason they like working with me is that whilst I have a pleasant, easy going nature and that I will always push to make the pictures the best they possibly can be. And with over twenty years experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and creative energy to every project I work on.
