Shot over three nights in the directors home, The Monster was a little fun project. What we got was this great little film made using my Sony A7sII with the ISO cranked up to 51200.
Winner of the RTS West 2017 Best Factual programme, "Hero's of Helmand: The British Army's Great Escape" featured interviews with members of Easy Company who fought for nearly two months at the outpost of Musa Quala.
Shot in just 6 hours in a car park in with a very low budget. We used my F55 as a wide locked off shot and the A7sII (recording to a PixE5) on a Ronin for the moving shots.
The film was made to illustrate the emerging issues of cybercrime. Shot on Digibeta with a lot of the effects done in camera, including using the Optex Excellence periscope.
A selection of my favourite images from other shoots.
